Our philosophy

We only sell what
we would wear ourselves.

Some watches simply tell the time. Others make you pause — for their craftsmanship, their quiet longevity, or the way they carry their design without ever needing to prove it.

Know Your Vintage Watches grew from a simple idea: every watch should feel right the moment you hold it. I buy these watches with my own money, which means every piece in this collection has been chosen with genuine conviction — because I wanted it, and because I’d wear it myself.

I’ve been buying watches from dealers for years. Good ones, bad ones, and everything in between. And somewhere along the way I realised that the standard I was looking for simply didn’t exist yet. So I decided to set it myself.

In a market where many dealers move watches without much context or connection, we’ve chosen a different approach. Smaller. More considered. More personal. The price is honest and clearly set. No offers, no bidding wars — if that’s what you’re after, Catawiki does it well. Here, the price means something.

01

Curated with conviction

No catalogues, no bulk. A small, carefully considered selection of watches I would put on my own wrist. Every piece has been held, studied and chosen. If it’s not here, there’s a reason.

02

Personal, not transactional

You buy from someone who gives you their number, answers your questions and remains reachable long after the sale. A watch at this level deserves a real conversation — before, during and after. And it deserves to arrive properly — not in a bubble envelope, but packaged the way it should be.

03

Knowledge you can trust

Every watch is inspected point-by-point by an independent certified watchmaker before it leaves. Movement accuracy, water resistance, case and dial condition — all documented. You receive a full report with your purchase. No assumptions, no surprises.

04

Your satisfaction. Full stop.

We’re not building a quick-flip operation. We’re building a reputation. Clear return conditions, honest after-sales support, and a genuine interest in whether you’re happy long after the watch is on your wrist. No runaround, no bullshit.

The same passion

A different
wrist.

Know Your Vintage Watches carries the same values as Know Your Vintage Guitars — the same owner, the same ethos, the same belief that the finest objects are chosen with conviction, not convenience.

The collector who treasures a 1956 Gibson Les Paul Special and the one who seeks an iconic Rolex Submariner — they are often the same person. We simply speak to both passions.
