When Rolex reintroduced the Air-King in 2016, they didn't play it safe. The 116900 arrived with a bold, deliberately unconventional dial — large Arabic numerals at 3, 6, and 9, a yellow seconds hand, and a distinctive mix of typefaces that divides opinion and commands attention. Underneath, Calibre 3131 carries a Parachrom hairspring and anti-magnetic protection that make this one of the most practically resilient movements Rolex has ever put in a sports watch.
This example was purchased new in 2017 at Lücker in Aachen, one of Germany's most respected authorised dealers. The original owner kept it for special occasions. We acquired it directly from him, and that restraint shows: the condition is very good. It comes complete with its original box, papers, hang tag, and original purchase invoice from the AD.
