A proper GMT, in the proper colours, at the proper price.

When Tudor introduced the Black Bay GMT at Baselworld 2018, it was the brand's first GMT — and the watch that firmly established Tudor as a serious player among collectors. Inside sits the manufacture Calibre MT5652: an in-house, COSC-certified movement with a 70-hour power reserve and a true jumping-hour GMT function, where the local hour hand can be set independently without stopping the seconds. Outside, the 41mm steel case, snowflake hands, and a Pepsi bezel in red and blue — the first time Tudor had used that colour combination. A statement watch, but a quiet one. Tudor never overstates its case.

This example dates to 2021 and was originally purchased duty-free at London Heathrow Airport. It comes complete with its original box, papers, and accessories — a true complete set. Condition is very good throughout: the dial, snowflake hands, and bezel all present cleanly, with no signs of mistreatment.

On the wrist, the BB GMT does what the best tool watches always do — it disappears until you need it. The 41mm case wears smaller than its dimensions suggest, the bezel turns with the crisp action you'd expect, and the movement keeps time the way a COSC-rated calibre should.

Why we selected it
At launch, the Black Bay GMT was positioned squarely against the Rolex GMT-Master II Pepsi — same colour scheme, same use case, fraction of the price, and actually available to buy. Years later, the maths still works. A great watch at a great price.
