The Datejust has existed in one form or another since 1945 — the original dress watch, the reference that defined what a Rolex looked like for decades. But not all Datejusts are equal. The 126300 with smooth bezel and Oyster bracelet is the one that strips the formula back: no fluted bezel, no Jubilee, none of the bling. What remains is a 41mm steel case, a blue dial that shifts beautifully in different light, and a watch that carries all the quality of a Rolex without announcing itself at every opportunity. Sporty enough to wear every day. Elegant enough for any occasion.

This example dates to 2018 and was purchased new at an authorised dealer in Italy by its first and only owner. We acquired it directly from him. It comes complete with its original box, booklets, warranty card, and purchase document — a full set in very good condition throughout.

Personally, this is my favourite configuration of the Datejust. The smooth bezel keeps it clean, the Oyster bracelet gives it structure, and the blue dial adds just enough character without crossing into flashy. It sits below the radar in the best possible way — until someone gets close enough to see what it actually is.
